A comment posted elsewhere

Speaking as Administrator: The quoted text below was posted as a comment on another blog, but it raises a good point. Currently, I have this blog set so only players can comment. Should I change that? Doing so would make it much easier for new potential new players to let us know they want to join, but it would also open us up to spam and possibly making the tallying of votes more time-consuming.

"This humble and regrettable jester doth hereby petition yon administrator, his great and powerful majesty, the Baron of all Nomiblog, for admittance into this hilarious game.

My hopes rely on yon Baron's fond 'membrances of his Warhammer protege and long-lost theatre colleague."

I emailed him an invite as soon as I saw this. I guess I'm going to go set nomiblog to allow non-players to comment. If it becomes a problem, I can always set it back to how it was.

I can understand and approve of the closed comment feature, but it would be handy to have a single post somewhere with instructions about how to file a petition, perhaps a link to a separate page and/or address to email.
