Rule # 12,345,678: Simplicity was not Enough

On the first of every month, all existing rules are repealed, repudiated, and rejected. They are rendered null and void, and are therefore powerless and baseless.
Exceptions:
12,345,678a: Rules #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #8 (aka "the original 8 rules" that give Nomiblog a player list and basic voting rules) are immune to this effect, and remain in place.
12,345,678b: Rule #12,345,678 is immune to this effect, and remains in place.
12,345,678c: Items, QI'yaH, Titles, and En Pee Bees granted by rules remain in place. They lose all abilities and definition, but linger around for use by future Bills and Rules. Until and unless a new rule affects them, they are meaningless and worthless.

Yes. I hereby invoke my Baronial double-yes to help push this bill through. I look forward to Nomiblog returning to simpler formats periodically.

I feel that Nomiblog has become far too complicated. It took nearly an hour and a half to tally all the votes and apply everything yesterday, and this morning I note that I didn't update the labels or change the Bills to start with the word Rule or Rejected, as appropriate.

And yes, you can all accuse me of not being happy about this. Much like the Undead, it (bugger all) sucks tempeh, and I'm up in arms about it!

It's worth noting that a future bill could still include a clause saying:

"This rule is immune to rule #12,345,678"

and thereby last beyond the month.

Clause 12,345,678c was included for two reasons:
1) it leaves stuff around so that we can reference it in future Bills. (You could for example make QI'yaH a bad thing for a month and give bonus votes based on Cowardice Levels.)
2) it leaves stuff around so we can nostalgically look back at what Nomiblog was like "back in the day".

Another example / effect of this bill: Votes from Troops will remain locked in the sidebar, but will have no effect. Nothing will say how to invoke or utilize these votes.

That is, until some other bill comes along (for a few weeks) to say how to use them.

Yes - Me loves this so much. I will be happy on behalf of the Baron since he is unhappy this week. I am extra special happy because I LOVE my new avatar! Stealing stuff from the internet is a lot of fun!

Yes, because this bill makes more work for the administrator, who must keep track of which rules have vanished and which stay around and stuff. Excellent.

Yawp! What a stupid reason to vote. Yawp!

Actually, I'm pretty sure it's going to light my load 3 times a month, and only generate extra work monthly. There's a nice administrative screen that lets me pull the labels off multiple posts at once.

Wait wait wait....

You're going to "light" your load? Is that even safe? I mean really light your load? I've see people light a fart but the whole load?

Man how could I not!

The whole load. It's all that naptha I've been drinking.

That, and I increased the fiber content of my diet after you accused me (last week) of not reading enough in the bathroom.
